The Rag Factory/Apricot Studio

http://www.ragfactory.org.uk/what_s_here/apricot_gallery/

Pretty good info and looks pretty swish...
They've catered to students before, big plus in my eyes
If the gallery isn't big enough there's also studios we could look into, but it sounds massive to me

  1. Hey.
I've contacted them last week, about Hume Studio and Apricot gallery.Apricot Gallery would be 165 per day and Hume Studio is 265 a day, but that includes an extra floor as well which is the Garret studio /yes they all have fancy names/. so for 5 days that would be 2075 i think. which is pretty good for that much space..
She also sent me this general thing..informative, and long. plus its not that usual street front setup...

All pricing is based upon limited-budget; we reserve the right to ask
you for more money if we think you have it, but only to allow us to
subsidise others who most certainly don't!

We try to provide assistance with set up / take down on a "best
efforts" basis; that means that, although we have a lot of tools and
expertise, we may be busy with other things. If you must have a
guaranteed supply of skilled labour during your set up, you must talk
to about this well in advance, and we will have to make a charge for
the labour you need on hand. This isn't necessarily expensive - from
£50 per day for basic labour up to £150 per day for an expert
    exhibition installer.

We provide a wide range of lighting, which we will rig and focus for
you. If you have specific lighting requirements in mind then you need
to talk to us well in advance.

We can arrange full and partial blackouts for projection, but we are
unable to supply projectors, DVD players, etc.

We have a few plinths available which you are welcome to use at no
extra cost; similarly, we have a large quantity of furniture for which
    we make no charge.

Our core opening hours are 10am - 10pm, 7 days per week. Your show can
be open as much or as little as you like between those times. We are
flexible, however; we make no additional charge for private views, for
instance, opening to 11pm or even midnight. If you want to hold a
series of late-night parties, however, I'm afraid we'll have to start
    charging!

You are responsible for all clean-up related to your show. So, for
instance, you must clear up bottles and cups from your view, your
packaging materials, repaint walls, and so on.

We do not offer a "full service" marketing and publicity operation, as
the range of shows here is too diverse. We can, however, offer
assistance on this front - please ask.

I hope this gives you a brief overview. If you'd like to know a bit
more, or come down to take a look, please do let me know!
